Senior software engineer specializing in Unity and XR.
Context
XR (short for Extended Reality) is the umbrella term for any technology that blends the digital and physical worlds. It comes in three flavors.
A fully digital environment you step into; the real world disappears.
Real exampleCareXR on Meta Quest, putting patients inside an interactive 3D environment before a procedure.
Digital content layered over the real world; your surroundings stay visible.
Real exampleCybersecurity tools on HoloLens, overlaying threat data and investigation guides on top of a real room.
Digital objects that understand and respond to physical space; they don't just sit on top, they belong.
Real exampleThe Virtual Twin on HoloLens 2: a virtual engine on a real factory floor, streaming live sensor data.
The headsets change. The underlying challenge of making digital information feel like part of the real world stays the same. That's what I build.
About
I'm Chris โ a senior software engineer with over 8 years of experience building immersive and real-time 3D applications. My deepest expertise is in Unity and XR โ but I've shipped across multiple stacks and I'm most energized by problems that demand spatial thinking, real-time interaction, and hardware-close development.
I established and grew an XR capability from the ground up at DXC Technology, leading teams of 2โ9 engineers and designers across concurrent client engagements โ every one shipped. I currently lead development on CareXR at Bioflight VR โ a medical VR platform actively used in clinical settings and live on the Apple App Store.
I'm looking for my next challenge โ ideally in XR, game development, or real-time 3D, at a studio that values craft and ships. Sports tech is a genuine interest (golf, soccer, games aren't just resume filler โ they're the hobbies), but the work itself matters more than the vertical. Open to IC and leadership roles.
Experience
After choosing to stay at DXC through the XR-to-Intelligent Collaboration transition, I took ownership of the M365 capability: developed and maintained PowerShell tooling to streamline internal workflows, and built an MTR device monitoring platform from scratch using Power Apps and Power Automate, providing centralized visibility into Smart Working Spaces hardware deployments. Integrated third-party platforms (Appspace, Cyviz) into DXC's Intelligent Collaboration offering. Took increasing ownership of capability roadmaps, partnering with leadership to define scope, priorities, and delivery milestones.
Shifted from client delivery to internal R&D โ owning the research and integration of third-party tools into DXC's XR offering portfolio. Operated as a solo developer, building proofs of concept to validate new technologies and expand offering capabilities. Collaborated with Microsoft and Meta through early access and private preview programs to evaluate pre-release enterprise XR tooling, including Microsoft Mesh, Microsoft Guides, and Remote Assist.
Established and led DXC's New Orleans XR capability, serving as Lead Developer, Solutions Architect, and SME for pre-sales across all client engagements. Led cross-functional delivery teams of up to 9 engineers and designers across concurrent projects โ every engagement shipped on schedule. Directed solution architecture for all engagements and conducted pre-sales discovery, translating client challenges into viable XR solutions and winning new business.
Shipped CareXR Mobile to the Apple App Store (iPhone, iPad) โ an interactive patient education platform developed in partnership with leading US hospitals and reviewed by national medical safety committees. Shipped CareXR on Meta Quest, currently in active clinical use at a US hospital for patient care studies. Led a team of 4+ developers from concept through App Store approval, owning architecture, development standards, and the full release process. Introduced Scrum methodology, Git workflows, and code review processes, improving team velocity and code quality from an early-stage baseline.
Built immersive educational platform prototypes for AR and VR devices.
Developed cybersecurity training tools for AR/VR platforms using Unity and C#, including UI design and user interaction implementation.
Projects & Portfolio
A medical XR platform designed for clinical use. Shipped to the Apple App Store with native support for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Vision Pro. Built from the ground up at Bioflight VR and actively used in a hospital setting.
The companion VR application to CareXR Mobile, built for Meta Quest headsets. In active clinical use at a US hospital for patient care studies. Built in Unity with a custom architecture designed for real-world healthcare environments.
An immersive VR experience built to visualize coastal erosion data and help stakeholders understand long-term environmental impact. Combined real geospatial data with real-time 3D environments in Unity.
Integrated Microsoft Mesh worldbuilding services into DXC's XR offering portfolio, building custom immersive worlds for enterprise collaboration. Participated in Microsoft's early access program to evaluate and implement Mesh capabilities ahead of general availability.
Led the integration of Microsoft Guides and Remote Assist into DXC's XR offering. Started with proof-of-concept work on mixed reality-assisted workflows, then scaled up to support delivery teams bringing these services to enterprise clients.
A data visualization platform for cybersecurity operations, built to replace spreadsheet-based analysis with spatial, interactive interfaces. Available on HoloLens and desktop PC, it lets analysts consume and navigate large volumes of threat data far more efficiently than traditional tools.
A smart factory proof of concept that bridges mixed reality and live IoT data. Used Azure Remote Rendering for high-fidelity 3D assets and pulled real-time temperature and vibration telemetry from Azure IoT Hub โ letting users visualize engine sensor data spatially and control the physical engine through the virtual interface.
A mixed reality proof of concept for the HoloLens 2 exploring how law enforcement and CSI units can use spatial computing to enhance real-world workflows and build more effective training scenarios.
On the side
Two web apps I've been building on the side for a while now. Both in active development.
An AI drafting assistant for special education teachers. Takes IEPs from blank page to a strong first draft so teachers can spend their time on the parts that actually need a human.
An operations layer for grassroots soccer clubs. Rosters, schedules, social, and match-day logistics in one place, with AI that drafts posts and recaps in the club's voice.

Contact
I'm actively looking for my next role in Unity, XR, or Software Engineering. Unity and XR are my home turf, but I'm adaptable across stacks and open to any compelling problem in that space. Open to IC and leadership, remote preferred.
